Cross Country Skiing and Winter Hiking
Winter Trail Map
The 775 acre Bubolz Nature Preserve has 8 miles of tracked cross-country ski trails and 3 miles of hiking and snowshoe trails
winding through northern white cedar forest, lowland hardwood forest, meadows, and prairies. The gently rolling to flat terrain is
ideal for the beginner, for families, or the skier who enjoys a leisurely pace through a beautiful natural setting.

Choose to ski either .5, 1.5, 2.5 or 4.5 mile loops that begin and end at the Nature Center building. Hikers and snowshoe enthusiasts have their choice of either a 1 mile or 3 mile loop.

The trail system is open daylight hours and a minimal fee is charged. Cross country skis and snowshoes are available for rent.

Night skiing is offered twice during winter, weather permitting. Rentals are available at a reduced rate and special refreshments are served. The trails lit by the rising moon create a nighttime wonderland adventure, not soon to be forgotten.
